Reviews

“While On Poppy’s Beach might be a fun read for a child on her/his own as the language is quite lively, I can also see this book being read together by grandparents and children who also share memories of days spent on the beach. Recommended.”
– CM Magazine

“Susan Pynn Taylor’s lovely and lilting verse rolls along like the sea itself, capturing not only the rugged beauty of the sea and shore, but also the incomparable feeling of being surrounded by love, safe in the heart of one’s family. The illustrations, with their bright colours and bold outlines, perfectly complement this joyful ode. Readers of all ages will delight in the small yet timeless wonders celebrated in this book.”
– Atlantic Books Today

“Told in whimsical rhyming pairs of stanzas accompanied by vividly colourful illustrations. The rhyming is very creative and flows quite well…A great story to read when learning about Canada and its eastern provinces, it also provides a wonderful introduction to the mechanics of rhyming.”
