Kathleen Hamilton

Kathleen Hamilton is a passionate Canadian and self-confessed crossword addict who creates distinctive Canadian crosswords. She is the author of six books in the O Canada Crosswords series and also creates the popular North of 49 Crossword that appears weekly in over fifteen Canadian newspapers, including the Toronto Star, Calgary Sun and Halifax Sunday Herald. Her career as a university lecturer, then editor, has taken her across the country from Saskatoon to St. John’s, Wolfville, Ottawa, Toronto and Victoria. She lives in Montreal.

“Kathleen Hamilton is a veritable genius at putting these puzzles together. The clues are all witty and with a Canadian view, which is a godsend to those of us who have to figure out the American clues in regular crossword puzzles. Let’s face it, we may both be part of North America, but our cultures are different, our spelling and viewpoints are different, and that can make a huge difference in deciphering clues… The people of Canada just keep wanting more and more from Kathleen… This is the perfect gift for any Canadian crossword addict, and will provide hours of fun and escape from the day to day world.”
