The Foster Season

By (author): Norm Foster

Maggie’s Getting Married: In this touching romantic comedy, you’ll join the Duncan family as they prepare for the wedding of their daughter. It’s the night before the big day, and Maggie’s older sister discovers that she knows the groom a little better than Maggie would like her to. “This is quite possibly Foster’s best play to date. The laughter never stops.” —The Guelph Mercury

Here on the Flight Path: Set on adjoining balconies in a big city apartment building, the play follows John Cummings as he interacts with three women, Fay, Angel, and Gwen, who become his neighbours over a three-and-a-half year period. Hilarious and, at times, touching. “Foster cleverly weaves double meanings into his brilliant conversations—clever and thought-provoking.” —Rossmoor News, CA

The Long Weekend: The truths and lies of a friendship come to the surface during a weekend visit between two couples. There are plenty of surprises along the way in this biting comedy of manners. “[B]lissfully old-fashioned, the kind of comedy that used to keep Broadway happy for years. There’s just enough sex, just enough smart talk, just enough preposterous plot twists to keep you titillated.” —Hamilton Spectator
