Let’s Go on a CanLit Rewind!
As some All Lit Up readers may know, our parent organization, the Literary Press Group of Canada, is marking 40 years of supporting and celebrating Canadian literary presses this fall. Forty-seven LPG members publish the books and authors that fill up the All Lit Up virtual bookshelves so this anniversary is pretty important to us too.
As some All Lit Up readers may know, our parent organization, the Literary Press Group of Canada, is marking 40 years of supporting and celebrating Canadian literary presses this fall. Forty-seven LPG members publish the books and authors that fill up the All Lit Up virtual bookshelves so this anniversary is pretty important to us too.And if you joined us for any of our ALU launches last September, you know we never miss an opportunity to party! While the LPG will be hosting readings across the country this month (check all the details here), we thought we’d mark this milestone here on our blog.Since it’s all about the books for us, we asked our publishers to share with us books from their backlists that are special to their press; these could be books that helped launch a new voice in CanLit or maybe left a special impression on the publisher. Seventeen of our members took us up on our challenge and throughout October we’ll be shining the spotlight on each of their chosen titles.Join us as we go on a CanLit Rewind to learn about the indelible mark left by these special books:
Man in the Red Suit by Bruce Templeton (Creative Book Publishing)
