Cozy Fest: Print and Pyjamas
We’re so excited to kick off All Lit Up’s virtual festival, Cozy Fest: eleven days with as many authors, reading the coziest passages from their books. Read on to learn more about what’s in store for Cozy Fest, including how to catch the readings and where to visit our festival shop.
What is Cozy Fest?
It’s a new, on-demand style literary festival custom-built to be an antidote to the busy holiday season. Our readers – authors across Canada – come to us from their homes, bundled in their fave blankets, wearing pjs or warm knits (at least three of them join us from nearby their fireplaces!). They read passages from their books that speak to hope, comfort, kindness, or resilience. We have a wide variety of featured books, from novels, short story collections, poetry collections, and a few kids’ books, for good measure.
You’re encouraged to follow along (ideally in your own cozy attire) and get to know more about each of our readers, but you’re also welcome to take in the readings at your own pace; in fact, you can watch them all right now on YouTube, if you like.
How can I participate?
In addition to catching the Cozy Fest readings, you can chat about Cozy Fest on social media with the hashtag #ALUcozyfest, and shop the featured books in our Festival Shop.
