Mary-Colin‘s play Half-Cracked: The Legend of Sissy Mary has had productions at Theatre Baddeck, The Ship’s Co. Parrsboro and at the Scotiabank Theatre in Halifax as a co-pro between Neptune and Eastern Front. Last fall, Shadows in the Cove: the notorious life and calamitous end of Dr. Henry Inch based on an unsolved murder in 1825 Guysborough NS, premiered at Mulgrave Road Theatre. Other recent work includes: A Belly Full, co-written with Marcia Kash which premiered at The Mill at Sonning Theatre UK, with a subsequent production at Theatre Aquarius. Hook, Line and Sinner the third installation of the Sister Salter murder mystery trilogy premiered at Ship’s Co. Parrsboro. She has also written many short sketches for radio and benefits. Her CBC serial He’d Be Your Mother’s Father’s Cousin has incarnations as a one woman and four person show and has played at Theatre Newfoundland Labrador, Theatre Baddeck, Mulgrave Road and Festival Antigonish. Her short pandemic project play Kind Nest commissioned and published by Boca del Lupo Theatre, is in development as a short film. A feature film version of a Belly Full has been optioned. Other than all that, she’s a fun for hire actor, director sometimes indie theatre producer who lives in Halifax with partner Christian Murray.  She also has a spot on a rocky beach called Jimtown, near Antigonish NS and as her mother used to say; “Sometimes I like to sit and think, and sometimes I like to sit.”
