Hastings, VancouverMore information: New Star Books, Anvil Press, Arsenal Pulp Press, Talonbooks, and the Association of Book Publishers of BC are hosting the 3rd annual hootenany at Pat’s Pub & Brewhouse, in the Patricia Hotel at 403 E. Hastings in Vancouver. Things get underway at 5:00 pm (the regular Blues & Brews night starts around 8:30). There will be books for sale from Vancouver’s finest indie presses, sparkling company, delicious beer, and plenty of snacks. Last year apparently we ate 20 kg of wings and 2.5 kg of hummus — impressive, but we can do better.
