Two Poems from
All Wrong Horses on Fire that Go Away in the Rain
by Sarain Frank Soonias

OKÂWÎMÂ

my road is a long one, dear mother
i want to see what you see
just a moment

a boy is just a boy
his mother is the mystery

she goes fearlessly through the world
       she trembles in her boots
              she would love
                      and she would kill

her road is a hard one
