On the Blog

~ We tried some trendy foods and lived to tell.~ Women’s wrestling has been on our minds since GLOW and ECW Press’s Sisterhood of the Squared Circle entered the ring. Cue our list of books paired with the gorgeous ladies of wrestling.~ We put Death and the Intern (Invisible Publishing) to bed, and picked up Shenzheners (Linda Leith Publishing), our August book club pick!~ Poet Heidi Greco made a cross-continent trek in a second-hand RV to Amelia Earhart’s birthplace to write Flightpaths (Caitlin Press) and shares her story with us.~ We served up some tasty popsicle recipes to beat the heat.

Around the Web

~ A poetree? Ariel Gordon’s interactive poetry project in Winnipeg had locals writing short poems and messages to attach to a large elm tree.  ~ Bernie Sanders has a YA book coming out that’ll have the next generation feeling the bern. ~ Harry Potter on Broadway! Harry Potter on Broadway!

What Else We’re Reading

We’ve plucked Diana Douglas’s Somewhere Picking Dandelions (Latitude 46 Publishing) to bring with us to the park this long weekend.
