Cozy Fest: Willie Poll

Métis educator and author Willie Poll joins Cozy Fest to read from her picture book Together We Drum, Our Hearts Beat as One (Arsenal Pulp Press); a triumphant story of a young Anishinaabe girl finding strength in her ancestors and her own determination to make a better future. Willie’s reading includes some of the spreads featuring artwork from Chief Lady Bird.

Willie Poll is a proud Métis author from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, who who has spent the last ten years working in Indigenous education. She is very passionate about supporting Indigenous youth to reach their dreams and reclaim their power. Together We Drum, Our Hearts Beat as One is her first book.
