Douglas Reimer

Doug Reimer was born and raise in southern Manitoba, and spent ten years teaching in northern Manitoba before moving to Winkler. An avid fisherman and cross-country skier, Reimer teaches English Literature at the University of Manitoba. He is the author of Older Than Ravens and Surplus at the Border: Mennonite Writing in Canada. He currently lives in Winnipeg where he is part of a blue-grass trio called The Doug & Jess Band.
