She reveals her early years of dealing with child sexual abuse and experiences with family alcoholism, and her challenges as an adult confronting personal grief and loss, the sexism, public scrutiny, and challenges of party politics, as well as being diagnosed with cancer—twice. Through it all, the thread of Rumbolt-Jones’s love for Labrador and its people, and her hope and joy in working for the future of both shines through.
