Born and raised in Edmonton&#44 Alberta&#44 Heather Zwicker has lived in Honolulu&#44 New York City&#44 San Francisco and Mzumbe&#44 Tanzania&#44 but she always comes back to Edmonton&#46 A professor of English at the University of Alberta&#44 she has taught cultural studies courses on the city<&#59> during the Edmonton Centennial&#44 she served as an adjudicator for the <&quot>Edmontonians of the Century<&quot> competition&#46 This book grew from her love of urban history and her desire to give voice to diverse perspectives on Edmonton&#46 She lives in the neighbourhood of Inglewood with her partner and two cats&#46
