Pablo Valdivia

Pablo Valdivia is Assistant Professor in Spanish Literature at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His poetry has been published in Spain over the course of the last decade, initially in Spanish literary magazines such as Letra Clara and Imaginando, as well as the national newspaper El Pas. In 2004, a selection of seven poems was included in an anthology of young Andalusian poets, Poesa por venir (Poetry to Come), published by Editorial Renacimiento. Valdivia’s first collection of poetry, Respirar bajo el agua (Breathing Underwater), was published in 2008 by Editorial Alhulia. His second collection, La velocidad de la niebla (The Speed of Mist), appeared in late 2011. In addition to his poetic output Valdivia has published critical work on Federico Garca Lorca, including the book La vereda indecisa: El viaje hacia la literatura de Federico Garca Lorca (Granada: Diputacin de Granada, 2010). His latest work is a critical edition of the novel Sefarad by the award-winning Spanish author Antonio Muoz Molina.
