C.E. Gatchalian

Born, raised, and based on the unceded traditional lands of the Coast Salish peoples (Vancouver), Filipino Canadian author C.E. Gatchalian writes drama, poetry, fiction, and non-​fiction. His plays, which include Falling In Time, Broken, Motifs & Repetitions, and People Like Vince, have appeared on stages nationally and internationally, as well as on radio and television. A two-​time finalist for the Lambda Literary Awards, he was the 2013 recipient of the Dayne Ogilvie Prize, awarded annually by the Writers’ Trust of Canada to an LGBT author of merit. Formerly Artistic Producer of the frank theatre company, he is the recipient of two Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards for his work as a theatre artist and producer.
