Do-Lit-Yourself is a column for book lovers with a crafty streak. This pinteresting monthly is penned by LPG Education and Engagement manager Lauren Perruzza.

If you’ll recall, just at the early onset of our internet broadcast day,  we painted our nails to match recent releases. We had such a great time swapping bottles of varnish around that matching our nails to All Lit Up books became an ALU HQ friendly ghost: prolonged sighs of “I need a manicure” and hopeful, sidelong glances at the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart were commonplace.

Yours truly is hoping her nails resembling the cover prevent the title of Carellin Brooks’ novel, One Hundred Days of Rain (BookThug, 2015), from occuring (especially since the weather's become so nice).

Julia, LitDistCo General Manager, has hit a bullseye with her ultra-minimal manicure, inspired by Toward. Some. Air. (Banff Centre Press, 2015), a collection of contemporary poetics edited by Amy De’ath and Fred Wah.
