About The Author

Serge Lamothe

Serge Lamothe is a novelist, dramatist, and poet. He practised several trades before devoting himself to the craft of writing. A holder of a master’s degree in literature, he has published four novels: La Longue Portée (1998), La Tierce Personne (2000), L’Ange au berceau (2002) and Les Baldwin (2004). His poems and short stories have also been published in various literary journals.

His adaptation for the stage of Kafka’s Le Procès novel (The Trial) was produced by Le Théâtre Nouveau Monde in Montréal under the direction of filmmaker François Girard (The Red Violin).

Talonbooks published The Baldwins in 2006.
