Meanwhile, billions of people in non-European cultures have been eating bugs for millennia. Based on his book, “Eat the Beetles!” David Waltner-Toews will explore the evolution, culture and ecology of our conflicted relationship with insects.After his reading & talk, David, along with Andrew Vickerson of Enterra Feed and Yasmin Akhtar, Research Associate in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, will field questions about the roles of insects in the Canadian food system, both now and in the future.
