Do-Lit-Yourself: Literary #notd REDUX

Do-Lit-Yourself is a column for book lovers with a crafty streak. This pinteresting monthly is penned by LPG Education and Engagement manager Lauren Perruzza.If you’ll recall, just at the early onset of our internet broadcast day, we painted our nails to match recent releases. We had such a great time swapping bottles of varnish around that matching our nails to All Lit Up books became an ALU HQ friendly ghost: prolonged sighs of “I need a manicure” and hopeful, sidelong glances at the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart were commonplace.But we, and you, wait no more. Barb, Business Manager, is decidedly un-boring with her rendition of Marguerite Pigeon’s short story collection, Some Extremely Boring Drives (NeWest Press, 2014).

 Tanya, Marketing Manager, has got her eyes – the usual two, plus ten more – on Christine Miscione’s novel Carafola (Mansfield Press, 2014).

Tan, Sales Manager, is a marble-nails expert, and has put it to use on David Groulx’s powerful collection of poetry, Wabigoon River Poems (Kegedonce Press, 2015).

Yours truly is hoping her nails resembling the cover prevent the title of Carellin Brooks’ novel, One Hundred Days of Rain (BookThug, 2015), from occuring (especially since the weather’s become so nice).

Julia, LitDistCo General Manager, has hit a bullseye with her ultra-minimal manicure, inspired by Toward. Some. Air.
