E.G. Hynes

E.G. Hynes was born in St. John’s and raised in Toronto. She received her BA in History from York University in 2007 and her BEd in History from the University of Toronto/OISE in 2011. A career teacher for twelve years, Hynes taught History and English in public, private, and charter schools in Toronto and Los Angeles. In 2021, she received her MA in History from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Now a freelance writer and historian, she currently lives in Washington State with her husband and cats. Mom, Dad, and the Newfoundland Renaissance is her first book.
