Writer’s Block: M.C. Joudrey

In our latest installment of Writer’s Block, we chat with M.C. Joudrey on his latest novel Marmalade Parade (Guernica Editions), an experimental exploration of memory, composition, and structure set in a remote mountain landscape.

Joudrey speaks with us about being an author and shares the perfect cocktail of writers who have influenced his own style.

A black and white photo of author M.C. Joudrey. He is captured in the centre of the frame from the waist up. It is winter; he is walking on a bridge. There is a lamppost in the background to his left and trees to the right. He is wearing a long black wool winter coat; the collar is popped and all of the buttons are done up. He is also wearing a scarf, wire-rimmed glasses, and a newsboy cap. He has a gentle smile and is looking directly at the camera.
