Bring the Noise: Street Poetry for NPM & PEN Canada

More information: Join us for Poem in Your Streets Day (following Poem in Your Pocket Day) to celebrate National Poetry Month and share poetry and protect freedom of expression! All donations during the day will be counted and go to PEN Canada. We will be touring downtown Toronto on a route through popular locations, streets and areas of high traffic, on public transit, book shops during the Authors for Indies program, making stops to deliver pop up readings of poetry, all day ’til evening. It’ll be a party! We will announce tentative scheduled route soon (subject to change and spontaneity). On the day, we will be updating whereabouts via  http://twitter.com/TOStreetPoetry and the Facebook event page. 
Be sure to invite all the poets or poetry-lovers you know, whether you're reading or hanging out with us! The more the merrier!

2017 Saskatchewan Book Awards Ceremony

Where: Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK

When: 5pm

More information: The 2017 Saskatchewan Book Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Conexus Arts Centre (200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK). Doors open at 5:00 pm, followed by a Prairie Buffet at 5:30 pm. The Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm and it will be hosted by award-winning author James Daschuk, whose book Clearing the Plains won five Saskatchewan Book Awards in 2014. Étienne Fletcher, a Francophone vocal artist originating from Regina, will perform before the intermission.
