On the Blog

~ Author Brian Busby (The Dusty Bookcase from Biblioasis) dug through used bookstores to share ten noteworthy books, one of which includes "the worst sex scene in all of Canadian literature."

~ If you don't want to see a bunch of massacred books, don't read this edition of Do-Lit-Yourself. (For the record, we didn't do any of the tearing, but we did do a bit of tearing up.)

~ We made bannock because Neechie Hustle (Kegedonce Press) was so convincing.

~ All Lit Up turned three and we have you to thank!

Around the Web

~ Home decor ideas à la famous writers in history. (We're digging the Flannery O'Connor.)
~ We didn't know it, but we've been waiting for Fainting Couch Feminists, a new podcast about CanLit, feminism, and everything in between.

~  Frankenstein started on a bet, along with these other nine books.

What Else We're Reading

Staffer Mandy has read and raved about plenty of Wajdi Mouwad's plays, so she was thrilled that his award-winning novel Anima (Talonbooks) was just translated into English.
