Summer in the publishing world tends to mean things slow down, that there is a break of sorts between the crop of titles that came in the spring and the fall season that leads into the bustling holidays. While there may not be as many titles published in the summer, many people actually get more time to read – between flights to exotic locales, lazy days on the beach, or just sitting with a cold beverage on the back deck, it’s possible to get in some good stretches of reading time. While there may not be as many titles published in the summer, many people actually get more time to read – between flights to exotic locales, lazy days on the beach, or just sitting with a cold beverage on the back deck, it’s possible to get in some good stretches of reading time.
What can be hard is finding the time to check in with your regular booknerd reading crew as each of you are off here, there, and everywhere soaking up the sun. Enter the All Lit Up Book Club!
That’s right, this summer we can be your book bestie (TBH, we want this every day but we get that you’re busy). We selected two awesome titles that we can’t wait to share and talk about with you. We’ll blog once a week about that month’s selection; you can read at your own pace and check in on the blog as you have time. We’ll be sharing stories from the publishers about what happened on the way to the bookshelf, chatting with each other about our favourite parts, and getting answers from the authors to all our burning questions. You can even follow along on our social accounts for fun extras or to submit your own author questions for consideration.
We'll send you bi-monthly updates to keep you in the loop on the best of our blog, special campaigns and offers, AND news on the latest in literary fiction, nonfiction and poetry from indie publishers across Canada.
